Artist Ben Heine Draws the Line Between Fantasy and Reality
He calls it "Pencil Vs Camera" and describes it as a "battle field" between 2 disciplines: drawing and photography, mixing imagination and reality.
Ben Heine is a self-taught Belgian artist living and working in Brussels. He has a degree in journalism and has also briefly studied graphic arts and sculpture. All of Ben's artwork featured here on IP today, and on Ben Heine's website, has been created entirely by the artist himself. He not only creates the drawings but also all of the photography.
Yes, this is another one of those ideas that you see and say, "Damn it, why didn't I think of that." Deceptively simple, there's no doubt that numerous hours have been spent planning and creating each one of these pieces. But that's part of the genius of the entire project. Isn't it?
