Eddy Crosby is a freelance illustrator working out of Melborne, Australia. He has a website/blog that’s fun to take a look at. On it he shows a bunch of his cool illustrations and paintings. But the fun part is that with most of his posts he also shows the various stages of his work - the preliminary thumbnails and sketches. It’s always a treat to get inside an artist’s head by getting a glimpse of their thought process on paper.
Eddy finds inspiration in the not-so-ordinary of places - B-movies, trashy TV, Mid-Century Modern, Tiki, Burlesque, kitsch art, Surrealism, 1970’s advertising, Science Fiction, lounge music, comics and Japanese robots.
